Hisham started his career in the energy industry working for industry leaders GE and ABB in a progression of technical and management leadership roles in conventional grids as well as smart grids and deregulated electricity markets. Hisham’s career aspirations evolved following his 5 year ex-pat assignment in the Middle East where he led ABB’s corporate strategy development and execution and managed its business in the Near East.
Hisham joined the renewable industry 4 years ago and his passion grew for bringing clean and affordable energy solutions not only to the haves in the developed grids but also to the hundreds of millions without affordable energy solutions. He has designed and implemented hybrid microgrids inclu- ding solar PV, battery storage, and diesel generators, and investigated financing solutions. He is passionate about combining clean energy with modern agriculture and water purification to improve the economic productivity of people around the World.
Hisham has a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Masters from the University of Michigan at Ann-Arbor, all in electrical engineering with a power systems focus.
Hisham is a board member of the Energy Storage Association.

Douglas is currently Executive Director of IDEATION (a cloud service that manages innovation for corporations, governments and individuals) usually offering the service through white label partners (accounting or law firms). Previously CEO & Chairman of an $8.5 B bank, and Managing Director for Financial Services at KPMG. He developed sophisticated valuation methodologies for IP as well as a system for providing affordable IP litigation insurance. He led projects to build industry wide infrastructures for the electrical, newspaper, software, art, philanthropy & innovation industries and together these industry exchanges account for over $30 billion per annum in revenues and have resulted in a Gartner award for Douglas. He has advised several heads of state, testified to Congress and spoken at Brookings Institution, RAND Institute, State of the World Forum, International Security Services Association, the IAPLA annual meeting, Gartner Conferences, US Chamber of Commerce, Mensa, Salzburg Global Seminar & other int'l venues and has authored 2 books for John Wiley & Sons and many articles.

Jason Salfi is an entrepreneur, executive, advisor, and educator focused on mainstreaming profitable, sustainable, and regenerative business models. In his first business, Comet Skateboards, a founding B Corporation, he pioneered proprietary manufacturing processes for non-toxic material usage, built custom machinery, and created sustainable supply chain solutions for Just in Time / Lean (JIT) inventory management. He has a deep background in integrated marketing, product launch, and branding.
Salfi currently serves as a NYSERDA EIR, executive advisor to two fortune 500 companies, and CEO of solar fuel company, Dimensional Energy. Driving all of his work is the thesis: Through technology, branding, product design, logistics, and supply chain development, companies can create market competitive solutions to the worlds’ most pressing problems.

Dr. Shea is a PV industry veteran with more than 40 years’ experience in all aspects of photovoltaic device design and manufacturing covering the entire value-chain. Most recently he was VP of Manufacturing Engineering with Beamreach Solar and before that as VP and Chief Engineering Officer of Suniva for over eight years. Prior to Suniva he spent four years as an industry consultant, including six months as Visiting Senior Solar Energy Technologist at Xerox PARC. Earlier he worked for twenty years at Solarex/BP Solar in various roles in R&D, Engineering and Technology management. Dr. Shea is the author of over twenty publications and several patents in the field of PV. He began his career doing thin film PV research at the University of Delaware where he received a Ph.D. in Applied Science (EE) and an M.E.E. He also holds both a B.S. and a B.A. from Swarthmore College.
